I'll get a photo up tomorrow. It's really not bad. You just work a really sharp chisel close to the side but push slightly away from the side as you carve. The little bit left will just peel away from the side. Of course one has to pay attention but not as hard as it seems.

Well it's not tomorrow but I finally started back on the neck. It is mostly done now but here is the heel being carved.
Herman not as scary as it might seem.
