John, or anyone who has bent cocobolo - I'm having a difficult time on the hot pipe with this cocobolo. Have you found that a higher or lower temp than usual works, or did you use more or less moisture than normal, or have you got any information that might help me? Thanks.

This guitar was my first with cocobolo. I thinned sides to .075”, spritzed with SuperSoft 2, let sit for about a half an hour or until it started to dry off, then a spritz with distilled water and wiped off excess. Then wrap in parchment paper then foil then bent. For me it went very smoothly, no ripples or cupping. I use a fox style bender with light bulbs in the base and a heat blanket on the top side. About 300-325.

Thanks John. I use a hot pipe and even with thin sides, SS2 and a little water am having some difficulty. Perhaps patience would help. :-)

Gorgeous.
Can you spell out in some detail your finishing schedule with the Tru-Oil? There is always confusion concerning the different methods, and it would be a help if you could chime in on beginning to end procedures and supplies!
