This is my current build. My O’M shape (slightly more rounded than a normal OM. Twelfth fret neck join.
Here’s the back and top. The top is thermally modified white spruce.
Here’s the rosette. Cocobolo and maple.

I started with the back on this one. This is a double x laminated back bracing scheme that I’ve done on a few builds now. This is a bracing design by Grant Goltz.
I glue up strips of mahogany in the radius dish with a total of four layers. First the base layer, then what I call the “architectural “ layer followed by two more laminations the same dimensions as the base layer. Then the braces get shaped.

Utterly astounding! I hope we'll be seeing more pictures and descriptions.

Thanks Kevin and Peter. It is some gorgeous coco. Here’s a couple after planing down the braces and doing some sanding. Nearly done.

Ok. On to the top. Thermally modified white spruce. This bracing is also from Grant Goltz. Here it is laid out and I’ve installed the bridge plate.
The base layer for the brace laminations is the same thickness as the bridge plate (.10”). They are ripped from orphan white spruce tops. The three curved braces are made from spruce laminated in a form and then shaped on my belt sander.
Here you can see the second layer being added.
A total of five layers are glued up with the joints overlapping. Makes for some very strong bracing. Then the bracing is shaped and sanded.

John,
You don't make yourself an easy route. Very elaborate looking.
The excentric rosette is very appealing to me.
I'll try that one time. thanks.
