Half hour video by Luthier Lynn Dudenbostel.

He talks about his workshop, techniques, tools, wood, cnc and finishing etc. Not how we would all do things, but he does make some very interesting points and has a great workshop.

Apologies if this has been posted previously or is in the wrong section of the forum.

Lynn's shop is excellent and yes he's a fine maker -- I do find it interesting that he mixes new (new when it suits his fancy) and old methods but still talks in terms of something mystical about making guitars --- as most know I believe guitar construction is just common sense like most other projects and all the required skills are attainable for us mere humans.

I still save my sawdust.
Our ancestors tried the alchemy thing. While gold is nice, I firmly believe that whenever I figure out how to turn that sawdust into magic fairy dust, I will then have hit the jackpot.

Till then, I'll just stay human.
Always have plenty of sandpaper; it's rough out there!

Let's see...if you mix enough sawdust with oxygen in the air and have a way to ignite... you get a new shop..kind of like a corn silo...BOOM!
That's why I work slow...can't take too much excitement at my age...HUMAN? Depends on who you ask :>)
