Suggestions for air cleaners?

Post by Dave Bagwill » Fri Apr 06, 2012 4:04 pm

Any suggestions for a decent air cleaner for the shop? Something that gets most all of the 3 micron stuff and a good portion of the 1 micron? I've got some mold problems in the barn/shop and starting to show health symptoms that I don't want to go any further.

We have a gigantic dust collector unit that uses a whole house furnace blower. it can circulate the air in our 1300 sq. ft. shop completely every few minutes -- it captures everything larger then 3 microns, in the same shop we have one of these http://www.woodcraft.com/PRODUCT/208437 ... it filters 1 micron particles -- I believe in addition to Delta other companies brand this exact air cleaner.

Dave,
From what I have read, it is the stuff 1 micron and smaller that you need to worry about. You should look for something with a HEPA filter to get the tiny stuff out of the air.
