Tried a guitar support

Post by Dave Bagwill » Thu Apr 16, 2020 3:49 pm

So I've never tried one of these, but one arrived today and after 10 minutes, I can say I will never be without one. So comfortable, makes the arm angle and hand angle more natural, barre chords easier - just very nice.
And oh yeah! - a new guitar also, which I will be posting a little later. From some Dutch guy named Arendsen, who seems to do excellent work! More later. :-)

Lots of classical players use one. I mostly play in the classical position, although my new flamenco lessons is pushing me into playing with the guitar in the position more like acoustic steel string players use. That is a very fine looking guitar. I have considered a split saddle to deal with the B string, then I think I have enough trouble routing a single saddle slot.

Here's the day I recieved it from Herman Arendsen in Holland. I'll be making a sound clip soon. Man he does outstanding work.

This is a joy to play, H. I'll try to get a clip that does it justice.
