I happen to have a friend's guitar in the shop that needs some work. However, it may be that there is no reason for me to continue.
The angle of the fretboard to the heel is like, 90*. That's right, there appears to be no angle at all.
DOA? The bridge is 3/8" tall already. The neck is off the body. I'm stumped. It hasn't been played in a very long time, duh.

Can you reset the neck? Is the neck bowed in as well?

Actually, the neck block is 90* like in the attached graphics-heavy illustration :-)

Where does the finger board plane pass over the bridge? how high? Does the neck plane pitch up, nut toward the sound board or lean back?

finger board plane about 3/8" above bridge. I don't know what brand of guitar it is.

3/8" above the bridge? Sounds like multiple things going on. I wouldn't think the 90* angle would throw it that far off. How thick is the bridge?

I have another neck I'd like to use - has an 88.5* angle - when I position it with a fretboard taped on, the extended clearance above the bridge is less than I first thought - 1/8". The bridge itself is 3/8".
