An HD-28 style for Tom T

Thought I'd blog this build for my latest commission. The top is Adirondack, B/S are EIR, mahogany neck block with an M&T joint.

The rosette is herringbone with multiple outside ring (no inner ring), the back has a zipper strip and the bracing is Adirondack. I used Ken's profiling jig to do the braces. Wish i had taken a pic but I profile these a while back. It is my first attempt using the jig and they came out real nice.

It will have curly maple binding and herringbone purfling. The braces are positioned for glue up.

Tim, you are saving me a lot of time at posting.I'm about to start exactly the same build.

Go for it. It's always interesting to see other processes and similarities and differences.

Got the top and back braces glued on and started carving the top braces. I use a vacuum bag for brace glue up.
