Old Lacquer

I have a half can of brush on Deft nitro that I have had for 3-4 years. Is it ok to use it for drop filling the abalone around the top of my guitar? I hate to buy a whole new can for such a small job.

Yes -- clear gloss allowed to gel up should work great.
