Re: Poll: uses for CA
I don't use it for any of those. Staining, clean up and messiness are my reasons.

How about the quality of the joints?
(I'm messy with any glue, and it frustrates me a little.)

Re: Poll: uses for CA
As long as the end grain is sealed with lacquer CA will not stain.
CA secures spruce very well, RC model airplane builders will attest to that -- I even assembled an entire classical guitar using CA -- about 35 years ago, my daughter has it no failures.
However, I do prefer Titebond, I use CA for rosettes, shell, bone and binding. Of course the sealing caveat applies.

Hi Ricci,
Some of us find it humorous that there guitar makers that would have us believe they can actually "hear" the nuances of the different adhesives used to construct guitars (sales hype/self promotion) -- and then there are guys like me that think that notion is absurd.

Re: Poll: uses for CA
Let me put it this way - how about CA for bindings (I think a few of us have used that with good results) - and for kerfings, endwedge.
Those 3 - thumbs up or down?
Thanks
