#10 00 sized Bubinga and Sinker Redwood, with cocobolo bindi

Post by John Parchem » Mon Apr 15, 2013 9:09 pm

It is done. I made this guitar for a 23 year old niece of mine who asked me for a guitar. It has a sinker redwood top, bubinga back and sides plus rosette and head stock veneer. It is styled after a Martin 00 guitar. Forward X brace. I made mine a little lite on the braces but I did follow a 00 Martin bracing pattern.

Absolutely gorgeous, John! The earth tones flow together very nicely, all the elements work. Is that a mahogany neck, btw?

Another beauty John. Bravo on no backstrip too. The grain is lovely.
I'll have to listen to the clip later.

That is one beautiful guitar! Sounds very nice too - your niece is a lucky young lady to be getting it.

It is a mahogany neck I cut out of a neck blank from one of the tone wood distributers. I like the way the grain pattern worked on this one.
