BRW / Lutz Spruce Classical guitar.

Post by John Parchem » Sun Aug 02, 2026 2:32 pm

It took me a bit to finish this guitar. I had it finished but was unhappy with a chipped ebony fretboard, it bugged me enough that I pulled it an made a rosewood fretboard. As part of the rework I cleaned up the French polish as well.

Back, sides, bridge and head stock veneer are Brazilian Rosewood.
Fretboard is Indian Rosewood.
Top is Lutz spruce.
Finish is a Shellac French Polish on a System 3 Silver tip epoxy pore fill.

Very nice John, great colors. How does it sound? Should I spend 1500 euro here on a brazilian set?
