Finally starting a lifelong dream of building an acoustic guitar. For my first build, I chose lower grade (cheaper) tonewoods. But I am quickly discovering that nothing is cheap when building a guitar!!!
Pretty woods, but nothing special. I knew that mistakes would be made and hopefully I would learn from my mistakes for the next builds.
Old Growth Sitka and Sapele.
Neck blank. All woods bought from a local lumber shop.
Mahogany, Bolivian Rosewood (Pau Ferro), Canarywood and locally harvested Maple for the center strip.
Canarywood rosette with Pau Ferro strips.
Roughly sanded finished top.
Stay tuned for more fun and sawdust!

Great looking start! Looks like a good set of wood. The rosette looks great.
