Sorry I have been a bit quiet.
I lost both of my parents last month. They were both around 94 and died 17 days apart after 72 years of marriage. End of life is hard, but they were very ready to go. My dad passed first, my mom after being with him at the end laid down and never got back up. I think she always felt the need to take care of him and was released after he passed.

John, sorry to hear about your parents. 72 years of marriage, they must have been very good for each other and have lived a wonderful life. My condolences.

After that many years of marriage, I hear it's not unusual for mates to pass away on the same day or within a couple of weeks. And that seems fitting to me in some way.
Sorry for the loss John. Perhaps you inherited the long-life genes?

Sorry for you John.
I hope Anja and I can stick together as long as your parents did.

John I just saw this. Very sorry your parents are gone and for your loss. A real tribute to staying together. My parents made it 70 years before my mother passed 2 years ago. Now my dad is 91 and just remarried last Nov. His new wife is 80. Crazy.
