I got the back plate glued up and added the braces. I had a difficult time finding the glue lines (I drew it out on it when I found them) and will add some strips over the joints. Turned out to be a pretty nice set after all..

Just beautiful to me. Natural binding strip brings character galore to the back. A jewel.

Speaking of binding, trying to decide which route to take. I like fancy binding but with Ziricote, I dont think a fancy or figured wood would be the way to go as it may compete too much with the Ziricote..

I think you nailed it. That glue joint will be stronger than the wood it's holding together.
