I finish the neck off of the body. Since I apply the Tru-Oil by hand, overspray and such is not a problem.

I think that I might try to just sand back the neck after spraying the lacquer and then apply the Tru-oil. When I spray I will minimize the amount of lacquer that lands on the neck.
Thanks,

I would mask off the neck when finishing the body and then make off the body around the neck when finishing the neck. But I have no experience doing it that way.
