My experience was that the new blade that came with the saw was pre-dulled by the manufacturer.

Not sure why band saw manufactures put such junk blades on their saws. I ordered a set of Woodslicer blades and they showed up the day after the saw. The factory blade never saw wood.

Need help. Sometimes I am a little slow or lazy.
I will be using it to cut out tops and backs and cutting fret boards and necks. Some resawing for bracing.
Soft woods and thin hardwoods.
I known I need a 70.5 in blade but that's all I know.
How about spelling out the specs for me and suggesting where to get it!!

This is the place I bought mine, here is the 1/4" version, you can choose any length.

For what it's worth...I was taught in A&P school that hacksaw blades won't tend to chatter and grab if three teeth are available on the surface of the cut, i.e., the thinner the material, the higher tpi count to use. Does this truism apply to bandsaw blades, too?

That's what I understand also.

BTW I bought the 1/4" 8RK, though the PC would work well I think.
