This is more traditional than I have been doing of late. It is a commision and when I asked what kind of guitar he was looking for he sent me a picture of a slothead Martin 000. He was not looking for a replica. In any case this is an x-braced guitar. I learned that Indonesian rosewood is the same species as East Indian rosewood, just grown in Indonesia. I also re-learned that one really needs to take care working with redwood as it is easy to dent. The bindings are Australian Blackwood. All of the rest of the trim wood is Amboyna burl. This guitar had my first attempt at carving in a volute in the back of the neck. I used EM6000 for the back and sides. The neck and top are shellac and Roya-lac. The guitar back and sides had a zpoxy fill. The neck has a CA fill. I will try to get a recording today. Still needs a label and a pick guard.

That is a wonderful guitar, you won't find in stores. Great built as always, John.
And thanks for the sound and view. Although you cannot tell much over an internet video,
I find it fun to watch and hear.
