Which Tool
If you could only have one power tool in your shop, which would it be?

Re: Which Tool
Drum sander or wide belt sander ---- I constructed my first guitar with hand tools, after completion I commenced to build a drum sander.

Re: Which Tool
I am torn, I use a band saw everyday. The drum sander is sure nice for thicknessing backs, tops and sides. In both case I can use hand tools, although thicknessing a figured back is hard with a plane and cabinet scrapers require a lot of effort. I buy blocks of figured wood for head stocks and rosettes I am not sure I have the skills to re-saw them by hand.
