Zebrawood Venetian Cutaway
Re: Zebrawood Venetian Cutaway
Thanks Kevin. I noticed there is some very light cracking on the outside of the cutaway at the tightest spot. Doesn't go all the way through. I stabilized with ca and I think all is good.

Re: Zebrawood Venetian Cutaway
Looks good. I have had a bit of surface cracking on the outsides of the venetian curves on Koa. Like you I stabilized with CA. They disappeared as I finished the instrument.
Re: Zebrawood Venetian Cutaway
As long as I had my bender out I did my bindings. Wenge, no purfling attached. I think the Zebrawood is busy enough by itself. The cutaway side I did use some super soft as a precaution.
John - I used my bender and all went well. I can detach my cutaway ram before I take the bindings out.

You do great JJ, I did bent some wengé before, but it cracked all the way. But you did manage it. Hats off!

Thank you Herman. Neck and tail blocks are in and have installed the kerfed linings for the top side. Spanish cedar. I love that smell.

Superb work. Going to be lurking to see how it turns out...it's going to an amazing looking guitar.

Thanks George. I like to watch build logs so I always hope mine are of some interest.
Did the rosette last night and finished her up with a light shellac coat for protection. The outer partial ring sections of bubinga weren't in my original plan. I do tend to be flexible with my asthetics.
