List of closed grain, non-porous back and side woods

Could you all take a look at the list in the opening post and let me know of others that belong OR those that could be removed because of uncertainty? We don't want someone depending on the list and getting a nasty surprise during their build. :-)

Thanks for writing. Unfortunately (for those who are 'allergic' to
pore filling) most back and sides woods have at least some pores that
need to be filled. Those that don't inlclude: The various Maples,
Cypress, Alaskan Yellow Cedar (also technically a Cypress), Black
Hearted Sassafras and Ebony.

One of the nicest woods that I've worked with is Red Gum. It bends better than any wood that I've used, finishes beautifully and sounds great, it's a total sleeper for a Tonewood.
