Just went through using a card scraper to level the z-poxy seal coats on a guitar body. Sure beats sanding. But I did manage to put a few scratches on the side where I was concentrating on bringing the bindings down level with the side and the scraper's corner was in mid-side.
So...anything inappropriate with putting a 1/8" or so radius on the corners of a card scraper so the scraper won't tend to gouge with its pointy corner? Yes, I know, proper technique cures all woes, but I haven't found an easy way to un-scratch, and I'd prefer to save my project from myself by non-scratching.
Thanks very much.

Re: round card scraper corners?
I round off the corners of scrapers and razor blades for exactly that purpose. I sharpen first and just round the corners against sandpaper knocking it off.

Thanks for the reinforcement. Sharpening is due very soon. Less shavings, more dust.
