Hi Ray
I have another question about your spray booth. Does the filter you use, filter out all of the over spray and the vent only blows out fumes, or is some of the over spray vented also? Have you tried other filters?
You mentioned that you have a pdf file that you would be willing to forward. My e-mail address is wcg5494@aol.com.
Thanks in advance
Charlie

Re: Portable Spray booth
yeah no Problem Charlie. No I've only used a cheap furnance filter and it's worked well, I haven't even used it enough to change it yet..it seems to be pretty clean with Nitro Lacquer...but I don't seem to have a lot of overspray either.
I'll get it on the way!
Cheers, Ray :)

Nice, Ray! I like it! I never thought of a bilge blower, though I look at em every day! ( I have another forum I visit.....www.Glen-l.com....I have been dreaming of building a mahogany runabout for years, and have decided which plan I want, just need to find a surplus $25,000 somewhere).
So, my big brother was playing guitar and I figured I'd try it too.

HAHAHAHA no kidding! I love boats Ken. I worked in the industry back in the 60's and 70's and I've installed 100's of those blowers...and of course they are designed to be explosion proof. Never seen one fail, although I guess they might.Ken Hundley wrote:Nice, Ray! I like it! I never thought of a bilge blower, though I look at em every day! I built a 17' Mahogany and teak Chris Craft copy of their Continental powered "Barrel back" runabout back in the early 70's complete with a 105 hp Continental Red Seal in-line flat head L-6 and V-drive.
It was so much fun...it's the one boat that I regret selling.
I was always going to build another closer to the actual 19'er size from origional plans..but you know how that goes...family came first...money tree died...life in general got in the way...but if I was 20 years younger and in good health I'd sure do it again!

Ray,
I know this is an old thread but I was wondering if you still had a copy of the PDF you could email me. My address is ankwhit@sbcglobal.net
That is exactly what I need.
Thanks, Aaron

Aaron - are you new around these parts? If so, a warm welcome to the Forum. Watch out for the rest of these guys, they're not as nice as I am. Though smarter and better-looking, yes. :-)
