Fret board markers. This happens to be an ebony board with striping. I'm growing to like the look of this very much.

Cut the binding channels, single tortoise top and bottom. I'm not sure if I posted this before but this is my setup with Ken's handheld system that I modified for my tower. It works great. I couldn't ask for cleaner, more accurate cuts than this and I won't!

Those channels are slicker than a nickel up a goat's *ss!!
-Under permanent construction
Re: My First J-45...
Tim, could you post a picture of that jig so we can see under the plate holding the router? I have one of Ken's jigs and a tower from John Parchem. Perhaps a marriage!
With the looks of those channels, they make good looking babies.

Here tis. I use the piece of ruler for rough sizing to get close. Just cut the long handle off so it runs on the side like a bearing. I tried to hook a bearing on but each attempt i wasn't totally satisfied with.

Tim on your routing setup do you move the body around the router or vice versa

The tower is temporarily fixed in place with a couple clamps and you move the sled around underneath it. I rout from high spot to low spot.5527paul wrote:Tim on your routing setup do you move the body around the router or vice versa
