That angle aluminum you used to sand your bearing surface....just epoxy it on to the top of the wood and voila - you now have a much smoother aluminum bearing surface. Many folks have made DIY CNC machines using similar techniques.

I have just laminated a set of sides together, and I used Titebond I extend...and it seemed to work great. I can't remember the guys name, but on another forum a former employer of Franklin used to hang out and according to him, Titebond extend is the 'best' glue that Franklin makes for luthiery. L...

Although it's not the best software for the job, freemill will get the job done for creating tool paths for you and it's free. Hi Everybody - new to this forum but I've been hanging around the luthier forums for about 15 years now.
