00/12 KMG Kit

Hi everyone, well I finally finished my KMG 00/12 kit. This was my 2nd KMG kit and it went a little faster and with just a few problems. The only area where I'm still having a problem, is during the grain filling. I used the Hood QDGF product on both the 1st and 2nd guitars, with two coats on the 1st and three coats on the 2nd, and it still didn't completely fill the grain. I talk to the owner, Eric, and he suggested that I mix some reducer, which slows the drying time, with the QDGF. I am planning on using the QDGF with the reducer on my third guitar, which I have already started.
Thanks for looking, and for all the information I always find on this forum. I am still amazed at the quality of the work and the beautiful instruments that come out of your workshops.

Congrats Chuck! We do like to hear the success stories. The 00-12 is a sweetheart of a guitar.

Sweet. That is one of the nicest bear claw tops I've seen.

Wow! Fantastic work. Really nice bear-claw figure. I love the inlay on the FB and headstock too. You've set the bar very high with your results here!

Great job! The 0012 fret is really becoming popular (L00's too) easy to see why - very nice. Charlie won the lottery so to speak, that top came in with my regular order of AAA Englemann and he was next in line so he got it as part of a regular kit, seemed fair to me.
