My "new" favorite strings for the daily player

My every day guitar is a lightly braced OM style African Mahogany with Sitka -- one of the "Success kit" prototypes. Anyway Martin sends us samples occasionally so I had a set of Martin FX "Flexible Core" custom .011 - .047 steel, silk, phosphor -- All I can say is "most excellent" !! I play finger style exclusively (actually never used a flat pick) No thumb pick and nails just past the finger tips - so its a flesh/nail combo that affects the tone. But anyway, they are loud, mellow, and most importantly the bass is clear with great ring and sustain -- the "E" can be problematic on smaller body guitars, sometimes thuddy and muddy. Finger style players might want to give them a try -- they gave this guitar a much better voice.
