Dental burrs

Anyone using dental burrs in the workshop? I used to have a mini collect for my Dremel, but have lost it over the years. Has anyone else used dental bits, burrs, grinders, polishing caps, etc. If so, what do you use to drive them these days?

You bet! I have a large collection of them all sorts of sizes and shapes. I just asked my dentist to save his used one -- trust me they are plenty sharp. As far as I remember I got the collet right from the Dremel dispaly -- 1/16" diameter.

My brother is a dentist. What do they look like and what are they used for? I'm sure he'd give me all I want if I needed them.

They are little carbide and diamond router bits -- great for inlay work.

I see how one could get real detail with those (and a little patience).

Dean - I see Dremel has the 3/32", 1/16" and the 1/32" collets
