Acoustic Guitar Construction

I've noticed that there seems to be somewhat of a spread in the gram strength of HHG...one is 162 another is 192 still others are some where in between....higher or lower? Does it matter? Best brand? Seems strange but probably has something to do with patents maybe or CW?

I use 192 gram strength and it is plenty strong enough for guitarbuilding. The higher gram strengths gel very quickly and are difficult to use.

I ordered 5 lbs a couple of years ago and still have over half left.
I don't use it for everything, mostly braces and bridges.
