Headstock design elicits sinful response

I am smitten with a combination of love and lust, agape and eros, would proudly attend any social function with this headstock as my trophy date, and may even pen an ode to laud about it's praises.
In a word, I like it. A little more detail than I usually put into my headstocks, tho...

I thought you didn't like slotted head stocks. This one is indeed gorgeous.

Dave , I was thinking about this keyhead , being less of a mass would it be possible that it would lead to more sustain in the instrument?

Less mass on the head less sustain (although I would take the completely unnoticeable difference!) More mass at the head would create a greater impedance mismatch between the neck and head and the strings and the head reflecting more of the energy back toward the sound board instead of vibrating the head which would be taking power without delivering sound.

One does not see reverse images that much now that most of photography is digital.

Actually, a number of people ADD mass to their headstock, sometimes in the form of a brass plate, in order to increase sustain. I don't think this particular design would detract or increase sustain compared to, say, a regular slot-headed headpiece.
