Cat ears

There is good evidence that I am not entirely in touch with reality. I accept and embrace that fact, though I do insist my family refer to me as 'endearingly quirky' Uncle Dave rather than the more colorful 'Weird Pervert', especially in front of the kids.
Be that as it may, I think my cat Sofi, about whom I have often written - has developed a good ear for music. I base that theory on observed, real factoids - namely, when I'm playing my guitar well, she stays put and asleep, rotating one ear slightly in my direction, no fuss.
When I'm playing poorly - much the greater happenstance, alas - she cocks the ear, hops off the sofa and RUNS into the back rooms of the house.
That's it. No punchline. I really just wanted an excuse to use the word 'happenstance' and where the h*** I pulled 'alas' out of, I don't know. Forsooth.
Your cats do anything weird like that?
