Tony, you are going to love that safety planer. I've gotten several sets that came in around .185 or so and it works great to take the bulk off before sending it through the thickness sander. Plus it's good for headstock thicknessing etc.

Tony there is still a stock of replacement blades to be had. Stash a few away and you will have the tool for a very long time. I use it mainly for head stocks.
