Hey Mickey! He likes it!!

Post by Kevin in California » Mon Jun 25, 2012 9:40 am

Well the Walnut, Redwood, Koa OM has made it to it's owner in England (as of Saturday), and he has written and says it looks and sounds "Superb"!
He didn't mention how it plays, but I will take it as a positive joining of the instrument and the player. I am glad it is now there, made it okay, and he is happy.
His parents were able to take it on the plane with them from Texas. So I am relieved. It is much more stressful to make a guitar to sell then it is to just give them away. :>)
And yes.......his name really is Mikey!

A real beauty Kevin. Something to be proud of for sure! It sure feels good when the owner like the finished product. I make it a habit to hand deliver them so I can see their face when they play it the first time. Try it, you too will like it as much as Mikey!

Tony,
The shipping charge would have been $1500 if I'd hand delivered this one!!
It is fun to see them get it for sure.....but what if they don't like it???????

Congratulations. I would still be terrified to send a guitar off to someone who has paid for the work. I am glad it survived the journey and it is liked on the other side.

Awesome, Kev! Beautiful guitar as well!
So, my big brother was playing guitar and I figured I'd try it too.
