When radiusing the back with the mega mold does the neck block stay down on the bottom of the mold like the tail. When I made the profile I lifted it to be level. Ive read it a hundred times but im still not sure.

All you need to do is use the two screws to raise the head block level with the tail block, no shims or anything else is needed. Is that what you are referring to?

Except for the tiny slope (assuming this is done already) on the top edge of the rim it is relatively flat -- so yes the top edge is placed flat against the mold base (disregard the 1/16' gap at the neck block). The flat side of the radius bar is used to gauge how high the upper bout is jacked up with the screws to make the tail block and neck block the same height.

Here's the instructions you should be following for contouring the back edge -- no mention of shims or lifting -- just using the jack screws to level the back edge with the bottom of the upside down abrasive bar.
