Pics error
Placing pics have become a problem on this site for me. I don't have this problem on other sites. It comes up as an error and says to notify site server.ANybody else have this problem?

Re: Pics error
Here's what I do:
Take a pic, or find a pic on the net, whatever, and download it to my computer.
Re-size it to 800x600 or so
On the forum, browse to find the pic, click on pic, hit the 'add the file' button and then post. Voila!
If I'm using photobucket, I copy the image data and paste it right into my post.
Haven't had any probs.

Re: Pics error
Dave that's what I've been doing but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm going to try to send it from another computer and see if that does it.

Re: Pics error
That's all I've got, Kyle, sorry.
Have you tried re-sending a successful pic posting to see if it still works?

Re: Pics error
Every time someone has had a problem it was because the file size was too large or the resolution was too detailed. As a courtesy to the members this sight by design does not allow pictures that will distort the thread by having pictures posted that spread the screen to the point its necessary to scroll width wise. I am not sure way you would get a server message? We are not an ISP?

Re: Pics error
Yeah I'm not much of a computer guy so I'm clueless at this point. It's not file size, I resize all the pics for this site the same size. As you can see on my Construction log I have managed to get the occasional photo up, but not without several attempts(and some choice words). I can post pics on other sites without a problem. I'll keep trying.

I am sorry you are having problems with your posting method but, "Photo Shop" is the best tool for posting pictures to this forum -- and it has always been recommended -- from day one it is mentioned in the very first topic. Pictures are converted for you, no muss no fuss no frustration.
