Any idea if the HF 4x36 belt/ 6 inch disc sander for $55 is any good? Central Machinery.

I'll answer that! It was the only power tool from HF that got 5 hammers (out of a possible 5) on the toolcritic website.

And as it turns out, Ken Cierp has been using one and gives it a thumbs up.

I got it. For under $60, not too shabby at all.

Need one.

i HAVE that sander, and it has worked out fine. The rest for the disc is not super sturdy, but it is adequate.
I think I paid $40 for it when I got it a couple of years ago.
Wish I had a 12" disc sander though...
