All the info at least for the 000 12 fret has the body thickness at 4" for tail block and 3 1/8" for neck block. Thats thinner than almost all other martin body sizes, I guess way back thats what they did. I was thinkin on making one around om size a little fatter. I know people make wide body om's, what about wide body 12 fret's???? Thanks Dave

I like to think that the most important rule to guitar design is "there are no rules" Unless you are making a clone of a particular instrument in an effort and hope that some day it will capture the magic of the chosen guitar. (by the way in my view it will take years if the model is a vintage instrument -- you cannot speed up the natural aging process)
Anyway go for it -- as an example the Gibson L00 has countless variations in body depth. As a matter of fact one version is the deepest (thickest) at the neck block that I've ever see. It is about the the same size as the 000.
Deeper(thicker) on average, should result in a bit more bass and a bit more volume.

Thanks Ken, It makes me feel better, It was just on these 000 12 fret I've never seen anything but normal. By the way how thick is the ditson model, and is the martin D-VS or 12 fret D the same as 000 12 fret ?? I've heard good things about the ditson...Hum very interesting.. Thanks Dave
