Ken - can you tell me a little about your crossover guitar kit?
What size is it, could it be played into a mic, are the construction methods way different than SS, that kind of stuff?
Thanks.

Actually its a standard size OM with a Torres fan braced top -- Mine has been sitting around for a long while never sprayed the finish I plan to get than done soon. Bottom line it should sound like a large classic guitar I have Fishman pick-up system for it, I may add a condenser mic as well?

I was thinking about doing something like that, just never got around to it yet. Is it built as a flat top, or did you arch it? What about the fingerboard? Flat or arched? Would love to hear more about this.

Flat top --- BTW even it you smash fanned braced sound-board in solera or dish it will end up flat -- there's no support in the brace material or pattern to hold an arched shape.
16" radius on the FB
When I get caught up a bit I'll add a hybrid article on the KMG website.

I had planned to make myself a crossover at some point, and I've been thinking more and more that It will be my next build. I was thinking an OM size and shape with maybe a 1 7/8" or alittle bit narrower. Sounds like Ken's.
No cutaway, EIR and sitka, with an internal mic for a pickup. I don't play classical style, but I love the sound of the guitar, so I wan't a more friendly size and shape player for myself. If I build it, I would start this summer some time.

Perhaps we can start together, Kevin. If I can raise a few bucks!
