Spraying Nitro Lacquer

So I'm out of vinyl sealer. I've always sprayed it under the nitro because, well, I've assumed you're supposed to. Right?
Has anyone routinely skipped the sealer and just started with the lacquer, and if so how have the results been for you?
Thanks for any input.
Kevin

Never used it. Only a base coat. The results were fine.
Only when Rosewoods are involved, I seal them with shellac.
Because they tend to bleed color into the laquer.
Good luck,
Herman

that's good to hear. This one is maple, spruce, sapele, mahogany. ebony, with only rosewood back strip and endwedge. I'll seal those with shellac when I pore fill them and go for the lacquer.
Thanks Buddy

Given that you are pore filling and sealing with shellac I suspect you can forgo the vinyl sealer.
