Acoustic Guitar Construction

Some guitars have a flat area at the neck block, some have a curved profile. Attaching a neck to a flat area is easier to do than to a curved one. On big guitars a flat body line does not disturb the aesthetics, but on a a parlor it can look ugly.
So question: I do both, but what profile do you give your neck blocks?

This is a 2011 big PRS Cocobolo guitar, but despite that, it has an over-flat unattractive joint.

I scribe and bandsaw them close to the shape then sand them inside the mold to fine tune. Most of what I've built are slope shouldered.

Mine have some curve. I cut my necks heel cheeks on a table saw and put a 3 to 5° angle. That way I get clean contact on the curved upper bout. Easier to floss as well.
