New 00 in the works
I've got a good start on a 00-12 fret. Redwood top with granadillo back and sides, and curly mango binding. The binding was easy to bend but also easy to break. Patience grasshopper. The granidillo, curitinga, macacauba is real nice to work with. It is dense and strong so I was able to work it pretty thin. This was my first attempt at abalone rosette and purfling. It's fun and rewarding!

That looks like a nice clean job, and the wood is very warm and attractive. Can't wait to hear it.

Nice work indeed. I have a few Granadillo sets here. Did not work with it yet, but it feels hard and dense !

Beautiful wood. Love the coloring.
Looks awesome with the finish.
That will be fun to see all done.

I have not decided on finish yet. Maybe satin lacquer. The glossy picture is z poxy. I like to French polish but I never seem real satisfied with my results.

Everybody has different tastes. I enjoy the look of satin lacquer. On my seven guitars. Minwax rattle cans.
