restoration of 1972 Martin D-28 top/rosette and binding

I am trying to source some original replacement rosette and binding for the top of a 1973 Martin D-28 that had a accident damaging the top including the rosette and most of the binding. I was told that the rosette could be sourced from Martin but they have told me they do not sell anything for the old Martin guitars. I have looked around and have yet to find anything that would be usable to duplicate the original. Does anyone have any idea where I might find a rosette premade for this Martin or even the 3 rings of the rosette to buy and the top purfling? thanks Jim

You might try John Hall at bluescreekguitars.com. He restores lots of Martins and sells kits and parts.
