A useful method for masking the bridge

I have been using this technique and I find it to be easier and more accurate than the scrape-off-the-finish approach. For me, at least, who can apparently screw up almost anything. Advanced bungler! (Thanks to Herman for that phrase).

I'm just a plain old bungler. Working on 'advanced' status, and if the past is a guide, it won't be long at all before I achieve it.

I use a mixed method. The centre I mask with tape up to 2mm/0.08" from the edge of the bridge.
After spraying I scribe the perimeter of the bridge to the finish and scrape that off.
This way the main top wood is pristine and the edges can be made very accurate.

I can see the logic in that method. I'll give that a try.
