Auto body finish?

My current project is for my Neibor. He is an auto body person. He is very good at finishing cars. He asked me if I wanted him to clear coat the guitar . I said sure but I thought I would ask you guys if it would hinder the sound in any way. He said it is eurothane with hardener. Any thoughts?

I do not have any experience with it but polyurethane is used on a lot of guitars.

Hi Paul,

Let him keep it thin and you'll be fine.

FWIW: after sparying nitro I only use car finishing (3M) products to make it flat and shine.
