Most of you know I've have been fighting some serious health problems for some time and have been pretty much confined to bed for the last 8 months.

I've have gotten much worse, I'm pretty much at the end of my rope. The Morphine and other pain meds are no longer working.

I'm right with God and with my Family and we've decided that the quality of my life leaves us at the door of a really painful, risky 5-7 hour spinal surgery that may or may not solve the problem, but there are no alternatives.

I want to thank all of you who have been so supportive, if you are so inclined to think of me and say a little prayer I would sure appreciate it...the surgery is at 7:30 AM Monday.

If I survive the procedure, I will be on a epidural drip for 3 days, in the hospital for 5 and then on to a rehab center to learn to walk again,( That should be interesting at 70? Ha!) so anyway I'll be gone from the forum for at least a couple of weeks. :)

My Daughter Vanessa will let you know how things go.I'm OK with how it turns out...what ever the outcome, it's the way it was meant to be.

I DO look forward to returning and trying to figure out how to make silk purses out of the two sows ears that I have, so I'll need lots of help from around here...take care until then and thanks!
