Its hard to believe that anyone interested in guitar making has not visited Kathy's website -- in my view its is one of the best. On the remote chance you've not been there here is the link:

Kathy - what very pleasant news! You've been an inspiration to me personally as well as to others and I've learned to respect your judgment.
I will, with no mercy whatsoever, bombard you with the most difficult, mind-racking......I mean, upon occasion I might have a simple question for you..:-)

Kathy,
Welcome! I have read through each of your instrument projects and have also used your tool lists. From reading about your projects I have put a violin and the harp uke on my list of projects. Your projects are very well documented.

Kathy, your site was the first luthier site I found when I first became interested in making my own guitar. It's a great site with tons of information and inspiration.Thank you.

Where's Kathy, I don't see Kathy!
We will enjoy your participation Kathy.
It is always a mystery as to what Kathy's summer time project will be until summer comes.

Wow, welcome indeed! Kathy, you and I exchanged emails very early in my beginning, probably in 2005. Your site was what I visited the most until some of these forums opened up. Glad to see you are still building, and looking forward to your input here!
So, my big brother was playing guitar and I figured I'd try it too.
