KMG mega mold and sanding bar plans

I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get some plans or help me figure out how to build a KMG mega mold. I am also wanting to build the “Universal Contour Fixture”. This is the bar that stands up in the middle that holds the sanding block that is independent of the part that allows the sides to tilt up to allow for sanding of the correct angle for fingerboard to top. Examples are found here:

No plans as such that I'm aware of, gtrboy. If noone else has them here on the forum, I can do measurements of my mold and fixture and post them here.
And welcome to the forum? Can we get a name? Up to you of course...no problem.

Profile name changed. Does anyone have any experience with using the KMG system to contour their guitar sides? It looks rather ingenius.

Many of us here have used that technique. Works like a charm for those that want to draw their own design and need to know how to make the side profiles. I've done it many times.

I dug around on some of the other posts on this forum and found quite a few pics of the mold in use with the upright bar and the abrasive bar. I could probably build the thing from looking at the pics, but I do have a few questions. The upright metal bar, how big is it? It looks like it is about 3/4 or 1” bar stock. Is it glued into the wood block below or held with some sort of bolt or set screw? The abrasive board appears to have a metal bushing in it that rides on the upright bar. One thing I have been wondering about, is this system any easier or quicker than the using the traditional radius dish/abrasive “driving the bus” method? That method takes a while and physically it is pretty demanding.

You can use a pipe flange screwed to the center of your workboard. Probably 1/2" pipe (galvanized or black). The abrasive bars I have used just had a hole drilled in the center to index them. A lot of times I used them freehand and just tried to keep them mostly centered over the rim. I use dishes now but occasionally use the bars for touchup.

Carl - good advice. I do want to ask why you now use dishes? And where did you get them?
