Something new in the shop

Decided I'd like to have a small bandsaw again in the shop for cutting thin stock so I don't have to change the blades out on the Steel City Big Guy saw.
This one I think will be the treat. They are on sale right now at Sears.

I bought one of these last year(?) and it's been a treat to use. Second thing I did was put a 'real' blade on it (Lenox). First thing I did was test the saw with the blade that came with it. That blade lasted a week on the saw, long enough for the new one to arrive. The blade made an night-and-day difference in how the saw performed.

I have a 9" model of that saw, I put a 1/4" performance blade on it and yeah, it works great.

A small bandsaw is one of the most underrated tools a person can have. The optimal balance of safety and practicality.

I got a timber wolf 1/4" blade for mine.
Yeah, the original blade just got dull fast.
