Seems there should be many new construction logs posted --- everybody love that stuff! And don't forget to post pixs of your completed efforts in the Gallery.

Putting the finish on my Irish bouzouki and my Stahl style 6. In the meantime I thought I'd try a tenor uke. It's a redwood and ziricote build.
I second Ken in hat I really enjoy the construction logs.

Hey Ken and friends,
This winter I have finished an OM. But since it is ready it has been freezing and I used to make my pics outside. Once I had some major cracks in the laquer when a guitars came back into the house. So now I'm waiting for better temperatures. ASAP I'l post pics with a soundclip.
In the meanwhile here is the inside. Redwood/Mirtle/Lowden style bracing:

No building so far this winter, just little projects here and there. Getting ready to build a cutaway OM, made the form and caul press for my bender. Should be starting this one soon.

Not much for me this winter either - shop got flooded again (I am going to take steps to avoid this, $$ but it has to be done) and really cooooold. Not Fargo cold, but cold.

I've been doing a little experimenting with this and that, and I hope it pays off with the new projects. The newzouki that I documented here turned out pretty darn good.

Took the time, spread across a few days, to build a Wells/Karol router base so's I can cut rosettes and soundholes. Turned out serviceable. I'll see whether reproducing it in wood, instead of the UHMW that Chris Paulick suggests in his videos, is worth doing. I don't want the softness of the material to compromise how setscrews and thumbscrews do their job. But it's done.

Making progress: building up a pair of necks, fretboards shaped and fret slots sawn (thanks to Ken's fretsawing jig) and two bridges made. Next tool up is a Fox bender (Georgia Luthier Supply drawings).
