Someone stop me!!!!

Well here is my latest bench plane acquisition. I just couldn't resist, and the price was right.
It is a Stanley #6 Type 6, made between 1888 and 1892. All original. The nob has a repairable/fillable crack. The tote has a repair at the bottom and the top is broken off.
It has been cleaned up, but the patina remains. No rust present. The iron is original with about an inch of use left. Pretty cool. So now I have three #6 size planes. Someone stop me!!!! Nah. I love it.

Kevin, you are finding some incredible planes - don't stop. It's wonderful to see these classics ready for the bench again. Nice work.

Kevin - a few of the guys from around Portland and up in northern Oregon are meeting at my house, and we will all jump into my 1968 Volkwagen van that is redolent of the rich odors of past pot, hashish, lsd etc. - and we are going to bomb down I-5 to your place for an intervention. "Intervention" means me taking all of your old planes - for your own good!! - and leaving you planeless. It's the least we can do!!
